Pulse / AI strategy designer

Describe it in your own words. Pulse asks before it guesses.

Edge Theory’s AI turns your trading idea into strategy rules you can read, edit and test. Pulse works with the building blocks Strategy Lab supports, and puts its assumptions where you can see them.

THE STRATEGY DESIGNERBUILT AROUND YOUR RULES

A visible design process

A good draft should show its working.

Pulse should not turn a sentence into a mystery. Here is an illustrative example of how it can separate what you said from what still needs your decision.

DESIGN NOTE 01ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
YOUR IDEA

“Buy BTC when RSI is oversold, but only if the bigger trend is still up.”

✦ PULSE READ-BACK

“Oversold” becomes RSI(14) crossing above 30. “Bigger trend is up” becomes price above EMA(200) on a higher timeframe.

STILL OPEN

How should the stop work?

Pulse can ask before it fills in a missing rule.

One assistant. Clear jobs.

Four ways to work with a strategy.

Each request has a defined purpose and a visible credit cost. Your monthly allowance depends on your plan.

01

Describe

Turn a plain-English idea into an editable draft. Pulse asks up to 3 short questions, then shows what it assumed.

4 credits
02

Explain

Get a plain-English read-back of what a saved strategy’s rules actually say.

03

Critique

Bring Evidence Lab results into the conversation. Pulse can suggest a change to test; it cannot promise that change will improve the result.

04

Variants & Search

Explore structurally different versions. Variants screens alternatives; Search retains candidates that meet its evidence gates. Passing a gate is not a promise about future results.

Useful by design

AI can help build it. The rules still have to hold up.

Pulse is there to help you express and examine a strategy—not to make the decision for you.

01

Grounded in the engine

Pulse can use supported Strategy Lab blocks. It flags requests that cannot be represented instead of inventing a feature.

02

Checked before you review

The draft is validated against the strategy rules. If the checker finds a problem, Pulse can try to repair it before the draft is returned.

03

Evidence stays part of the decision

Critique can suggest a change to investigate. You decide whether it is worth trying, and the changed version has to be tested again.

WHEN ASKED FOR A GUARANTEE

“I can design and explain strategies, but I can't predict or promise results. Once it's built, the engine's simulated backtest shows how the rules would have behaved in the past.”

The Evidence Lab

Is it overfitted? We’ll tell you.

A simulated backtest can look strong because it fit the history. The Evidence Lab checks a saved version against random entries, unseen candles, trial history and stressed costs.

Chance

The Evidence Lab compares your strategy with random entries.

Unseen candles

The Evidence Lab tests on unseen data.

Every trial counts

The Evidence Lab tracks how many versions you tested.

Repeatability

Choose the exchange and market for each Evidence Lab run.

A reason for every point

The Evidence Lab gives each strategy a reasoned robustness grade.

Your idea, your rules

Start with the words you already use.

Type an idea below. If you’re new, it carries through registration; if you’re signed in, you’ll continue to the designer. Pulse runs after sign-in and a Describe request uses 4 AI credits.

Automated trading involves risk. Backtests and simulated results don't predict future performance.

Before you begin

A few straight answers.

Do I need to code?

No. Describe the idea in your own words, then inspect and edit the resulting rules in Strategy Lab.

What if my idea is incomplete?

Pulse can ask up to 3 questions and labels rules as from you, Assumed or Suggested. Review those assumptions before building.

Is Pulse the market scanner?

No. Pulse is Edge Theory’s AI strategy designer. The separate market tool is labelled Market scanner.

Can Pulse predict a winner?

I can design and explain strategies, but I can't predict or promise results. Once it's built, the engine's simulated backtest shows how the rules would have behaved in the past.

Does designing a Bot start trading?

No. Design, testing, configuration and explicit activation are separate steps.

What does a design cost?

A Describe design uses 4 AI credits for the conversation and checked draft. Follow-up replies in that design are included; the engine produces the simulated backtest.

What happens when credits run out?

You can continue editing existing strategies in Strategy Lab. Wait for your next allowance or choose a credit pack; new AI requests need enough credits and AI availability.

Can I change what Pulse creates?

Yes. The draft opens as editable rules in Strategy Lab. Review and change the logic before testing it again.

Can I run it live?

Supported live execution starts on Pro. Availability depends on the strategy features, Bot and exchange connection. Review supported features before activating.
