Crypto strategy design and automation

Turn the way you trade into a Bot.

Edge Theory is a crypto trading platform for designing, testing and running automated strategies. Describe your idea to Pulse, review the editable rules, test them on historical market data, then practise with a simulated Bot. Supported Live automation depends on your strategy, plan and exchange connection.

From idea to Bot

From a thought in your head to rules you can inspect.

Describe it. Prove it. Run it. Here is what each step means inside Edge Theory.

  1. Describe it

Write your trading idea in your own words. Choose a market and timeframe, or leave them open.

  2. Build the rules

Pulse asks up to three questions, shows its assumptions and checks the strategy rules before presenting the draft.

  3. Test it

Backtest the rules on historical candles. Simulated trades include fees and slippage; perpetual tests include funding costs.

  4. Challenge it

Evidence Lab checks the result against random entries, unseen candles, trial history and other exchanges.

  5. Run it

Practise with a simulated Bot. Supported Live automation depends on your strategy, plan and exchange connection.

Meet Pulse

Say it the way you’d say it to another trader.

You do not have to start with indicator menus. Pulse turns your description into rules, asks when a detail is missing and marks what it has assumed.

You describe it

Buy BTC when it’s oversold, but only if the bigger trend is still up. Take some profit early and let the rest run.

I’ve read “oversold” as RSI recovering above its threshold. How far should the stop be?

The Evidence Lab

Is it overfitted? We’ll tell you.

A simulated backtest can look strong because it fit the history. The Evidence Lab checks a saved version against random entries, unseen candles, trial history and stressed costs.

Why Edge Theory

Building a Bot is easy. Knowing when not to run it takes evidence.

A strong-looking backtest is a starting point for questions, not a promise about what happens next.

Pulse shows its assumptions.

Every assumption is shown in writing.

Simulated trades include costs.

Fees and slippage apply to every simulated trade. Perpetual backtests include funding costs.

Evidence Lab looks for fragility.

The Evidence Lab compares your strategy with random entries. The Evidence Lab tests on unseen data.

I can design and explain strategies, but I can't predict or promise results. Once it's built, the engine's simulated backtest shows how the rules would have behaved in the past.

Room to go deeper

Start simply. Keep the detail when you need it.

Strategy Lab includes 156 building blocks for traders who want to work with more specific rules.

Example strategy 01

“Long when a bullish engulfing candle forms and ADX is above 25, 4 hour chart”

Example rulesGo long BTCUSDT on 4H when an Engulfing Bullish candle AND ADX(14) is above 25. Stop 2× ATR(14), take profit at 2R.

Example strategy 02

“Short BTC on 15m when a bearish engulfing candle forms and price is below the 50 EMA, avoid choppy markets”

Example rulesGo short BTCUSDT on 15m when an Engulfing Bearish candle AND price is below EMA(50) AND ADX(14) is above 20.

Example strategy 03

“Exit any trade after 12 bars if it hasn't hit the target. Long ETH when price crosses above the 50 SMA on 30 minutes”

Example rulesGo long ETHUSDT on 30m when price crosses above SMA(50). Stop 2× ATR(14), take profit at 2R, exit after 12 bars.

Example strategy 04

“Risk 0.5% per trade, take half at 1R and trail the rest with 2 ATR. Long BTC on 4H when RSI crosses above 40”

Example rulesTake 50% at 1R and let the rest run on a 2× ATR(14) trailing stop. Risk 0.5% per trade.

Questions before you start

Clear answers before you build.

What does Pulse send to OpenAI?

Your trading idea, the design conversation and relevant strategy context are sent to OpenAI to create the rules. Exchange credentials and account details are not shared. See our Privacy policy for provider and retention details.

What is an AI credit?

A credit pays for an AI action. Each new design uses 4 credits and includes the questions, your changes and the first backtest. Monthly credits reset; top-ups are available.

Why doesn't Pulse predict returns?

Pulse designs rules, not performance. Results come only from the engine's simulated backtest, with fees and slippage. Past simulated results do not predict future performance.

What happens when my credits run out?

You can wait for your monthly allowance, buy a credit pack or keep building and testing manually in the Strategy Lab. A credit balance does not change your plan's bot or live-trading limits.

Can I try a bot before using real money?

Yes. Free includes Pulse AI, Strategy Lab, backtests and 1 simulated bot. Simulated balances, orders and positions are not live exchange execution.

Can a bot guarantee profit?

No. A bot follows configured rules, and its outcome depends on market conditions, execution and costs.

Which exchanges are supported?

The strategy workflow identifies Bybit, Binance, OKX and Bitget. Supported live features depend on the bot, adapter and connection; availability does not mean every strategy feature can run live.

Are strategy bots and arbitrage bots the same?

No. Strategy bots execute configured rules. Arbitrage has separate exchange, Solana and BSC workflows with their own costs, liquidity and execution checks.

Does a published Signal activate a bot automatically?

No. You choose the workflow, configure the bot, review the setup and decide when to activate it.
